About the exploration
The exploration of the canal took place in May/June 2006, during a trip to Aberdeen. I toured the canal in my faithful Rover 418 estate, and was accompanied on it for most of the time by my Cousin Paul, who I have to thank for his enthusiasm for this project. Thanks also go to the librarian at Dyce Library, who helped me dig out various photocopies of articles that I hadn't seen since leaving Scotland in the 1980s.
